Linkpop was Shopify's own link-in-bio tool, and it no longer exists. If your Instagram or TikTok bio still points to an old Linkpop page, or you swapped in the first replacement you found, this guide sets out the options Shopify merchants have now, what to compare, and where Bioshelf fits. We make Bioshelf, so we also say when another tool may suit you better.
What happened to Linkpop
According to Coywolf's report on Shopify's email to Linkpop users, Shopify retired Linkpop on 7 July 2025. After that date, merchants could no longer edit their Linkpop pages or create new ones.
Shopify's own pages confirm the tool is gone:
- The Linkpop listing on the Shopify App Store now reads "This app is not currently available on the Shopify App Store."
- linkpop.com now redirects to shopify.com.
- The old Linkpop help page URL now shows Shopify's general Sales channels page.
If any bio, story highlight, QR code or printed card still sends people to Linkpop, replace that link first. Our step-by-step migration checklist lists every place to look.
Your options now
Linktree
Linktree has a Shopify app with Free, Starter ($8/month), Pro ($15/month) and Premium ($35/month) plans. Its help center says you can add up to six products from your Shopify store to your Linktree. The app has a 3.6 rating from 18 reviews on its App Store review page, where one review describes the store connection going round in a loop and another only six products showing.
It suits you if your bio is mostly links (a podcast, a newsletter, a booking page) with a few products on the side. If you sell a real catalogue, read our page on the Linktree Shopify product limit.
General bio-link tools
Creator bio tools are built for links, media and sometimes their own shop. They can point to your store, but check two things before you commit: whether the tool reads your Shopify catalogue or makes you add products by hand, and what happens on the page when a product sells out.
Shopify link-in-bio apps
Several apps on the Shopify App Store build a bio page from your store. Two examples, from their listings as checked on 26 September 2026:
- LinkShop costs $15/month with a 7-day free trial and no free plan, has a built-in cart and carries the "Built for Shopify" badge.
- Saku has a free plan and a $9/month plan, puts the bio page on your store domain, and lists analytics for clicks, conversions and revenue.
Many of these apps sync products from Shopify. That's now the minimum, not a reason to choose one.
A page on your own store
You can also build a Shopify page or collection called "Shop from Instagram" and put its URL in your bio. It's free and shows your whole catalogue. But it's your full store theme rather than a short page made for a tap from a bio, and you curate it by hand.
What to look for in a Linkpop alternative
| What to check | Why it matters | Question to ask |
|---|---|---|
| Products synced from Shopify | Products copied by hand go out of date | Does it read my catalogue, and how fast do changes show? |
| Sold-out handling | A follower who taps a sold-out product is a lost sale | What does the page do when stock hits zero? |
| Product limit | A cap means choosing which products followers see first | How many products can the page show, and how do followers reach the rest? |
| Attribution | Without it you can't tell what social sells | UTMs, pixels, clicks per product, orders? |
| Speed | Bio links open in the Instagram and TikTok in-app browsers, on phones | Do products show as soon as the page loads? Test it on your phone |
| Where a tap goes | Product page, cart or checkout changes the buying flow | Does a tap open my store, or a cart on the bio page? |
| Price | Some tools sell attribution as an extra | What is the monthly total with everything I need? |
Where Bioshelf fits
Bioshelf is a link-in-bio page for Shopify stores, launching soon on the Shopify App Store. It rests on three ideas.
It builds itself. Install Bioshelf and your page exists in under 30 seconds, built from your store's theme (logo, brand colours, social links), your best-sellers of the last 60 days and your collections.
It never goes stale. When stock, a price or a product changes, the page updates within seconds. Sold-out products show "Sold out" and move to the end of the grid. A page shows up to 12 products, and your collections lead followers to the rest of your catalogue.
You finally know what social sells. UTM parameters are added automatically to every link to your store. Meta and TikTok pixels (behind a consent banner) and click counts per product and link show what your followers do, and orders are attributed to your bio link.
In the Shopify admin you can reorder, hide or pick products and collections, add links, text and buttons, choose one of 6 themes, check the live preview, then publish or unpublish. The page is server-rendered with no JavaScript by default.
One plan: $14/month, everything included, with a 7-day free trial. There's no free plan.
When another option may suit you better
- You want the bio page on your own store domain. Bioshelf pages live at yourstore.bioshelf.co.
- You want shoppers to add to cart on the bio page itself. Bioshelf product cards open the product page in your store, not a cart or checkout.
- You want more than 12 products on the bio page itself.
- You need a free plan. Bioshelf has a 7-day free trial, then $14/month.
Try Bioshelf early
